In the week of 29 Aug – 1 Sep, Stephen Byrne from Blackboard flew out from the UK to deliver CE6 Technical Training and Vista consulting here in Cape Town. This well attended workshop also included 1 day of GUI training delivered by Eiffel Corp.
Well done to the institutions represented at this training: Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Stellenbosch University, Botswana University, Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria University, Fort Hare University, Durban University of Technology and University of Johannesburg.

WebCT FET Pilot (top)
The last month has seen the Western Cape FET pilot colleges involved in much training. IT staff have been trained to provide front line WebCT support to the Pilot lecturers, while the Pilot lecturers have been trained to enhance their courses through the use of WebCT teaching and learning tools.
We are that much closer to introducing FET students to WebCT!
WebCT Product Name Changes

New names for WebCT products shall be in the next release. Campus Edition and Vista will become part of the Blackboard Academic Suite
line-up. Here are the new product names:
• The Blackboard Learning SystemTM - Vista Enterprise
• The Blackboard Learning SystemTM - CE Enterprise Ltd (Formerly the Campus Edition)
• The Blackboard Learning SystemTM – CE Basic
(formerly the Focus )
