eLearning Africa Conference (top)

832 participants from 80 countries were gathered at the first
eLearning Africa conference from May 24 – 26, 2006 in the United Nations Conference Centre in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, making it the largest event on educational technologies and development ever to have taken place on the continent.

Andre van der Merwe (CEO Eiffel Corp) delivered a novel game-based panel discussion at the eLearning Africa conference. We are very pleased to say that this session was well attended and received excellent feedback. Special thanks to all the panel members who amongst others included Marlena Kruger from the University of Johannesburg and Dolf Jordaan from the University of Pretoria. Due to the success of the event the conference organisers have asked Andre to facilitate the game panel discussion at the Online Educa Conference in Berlin later this year.

Apreso is an automated lecture capture solution that will capture audio, video and electronic content during a lecture, and automatically Podcast the lecture, or publish the contents to WebCT. This is fully automated – the instructor doesn’t even have to push a button. It’s especially useful for large lectures, technical courses, second languages, or distance students. For more information on automated lecture capture visit www.apreso.com. Or contact Bill King at bking@anystream.com www.apreso.com. Or contact Bill King at bking@anystream.com
