MS-SQL Server 2005 Announcement (top)
WebCT is pleased to announce certification of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 with the release of Service Pack 1 for WebCT Campus Edition 6 and WebCT Vista 4. This service pack includes a number of fixes for known issues as well as certification of SQL Server 2005 as the only WebCT supported SQL Server platform going forward. more...
Note that this service pack includes all of the fixes and enhancements that were included in Service Pack 1 for Oracle which was released in early December. Please review the SQL Server FAQ which has been updated to account for certification of Microsoft SQL Server 2005.
Application Pack for CE6 and Vista4 (top)
WebCT plan to release an Application Pack for Campus Edition 6 and Vista 4 in the first half of 2006 instead of a major release. Unlike a Service Pack, an application pack does include some new features. However, unlike a major release, it does not include a significant number of new features and can be easily installed in-place on a customer's production system, like a Service Pack. The plan is to include some new tools such as grading rubrics, learning objectives, enhancements to the discussions tool (including the ability to blog) and possibly other tools. It will also address some outstanding bug fixes. Further to this, WebCT plan to issue their major release in the second half of 2006.
WebCT e-Portfolio (top)
WebCT are preparing to release the e-Portfolio in the first half of 2006. The e-Portfolio can be run with either Campus Edition 6 or Vista 4, provided that the Application Pack described above has been installed.
